What should I expect during my first class?

During your first Muay Thai class, you’ll experience a welcoming atmosphere and will have a great time! The class will include a warm-up, skills drills, and a cool-down. You’ll learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai while getting a full-body workout.

Do I need prior experience to join The Clinic?

No! Our classes are designed to teach you everything you need to know about Muay Thai. We offer fundamentals classes as well as advanced classes, so you’ll be able to progress to any level you want.

You can also sign up for a free 30-minute intro lesson with Kru Dustin so you can learn the basics of Muay Thai before jumping into a class.

What equipment do I need to do Muay Thai?

You need athletic clothing that you can move in. You can also bring your own gloves and hand wraps–gloves should be boxing gloves, not MMA gloves. In Muay Thai, the gloves cover the entire hand.

For sparring Muay Thai, you will wear shin guards and sometimes knee pads and elbow pads if you’d like. However, The Clinic provides loaner gear if you don’t have your own.

We recommend you bring footwear that is easy to take on and off as you’ll want to wear something to walk around off the mats and in the restroom, however only bare feet are allowed on the mats.

Are classes suited to all fitness levels?

Yes! If you are looking to get into better shape, The Clinic is perfect for you. If you are already in amazing shape, The Clinic is also perfect for you! Kru Dustin works with students of all fitness levels and will help you reach whatever goals you have.

Are there age limits?

As a general rule, we say a student should be 12 years old or older. All students will be training in the same class meaning adults and minors will be training together, so the age limit is a guideline. Any child that is mature enough and not too small to train with adults is welcome. If you are unsure if your child fits this criteria, please stop in during a class, talk to the staff, and see if everyone is comfortable with your child training.

If you are under 18, you must bring a parent/guardian with you on your first day so they can sign a waiver.

Do you offer any discounts?

We do! If parents and their kids, siblings, married couples, etc. want to sign up for classes, we do offer a family discount program. Contact us to get more information.
